Residential & Domicile Certificate:
Application for Residential / Domicile Certificate should be submitted to the Office of the Sub Divisional Officer, Barrackpur, North 24 Parganas at Room No. 46 (General Section).

For Residential Certificate:
1. One set application alongwith documents in support of residence.
2. Certificate issued within 7(seven) working days from the date of submission from Confidential Section at Room No. 27A.

For Domicile Certificate:
1. Two sets applications with two passport size photographs alongwith documents for domicile certificate.
2. Certificate issued with 3(three) working days after received report from D.I.B., North 24 Parganas from Confidential Section at Room No. 27A.

Requirement of Residential & Domicile Certificate:
Application in prescribed format (addressed to S.D.O., Barrackpore)

Xerox Copy :
** School Certificate- (a) Primary, b) Secondary, c) College
** Birth Certificate from Municipal Authority or Health Department.
** Deed of Land (1st three pages only)/Rent Receipt for Rented house Current and Old (living over 15 years in West Bengal).
** Ration Card
** Voter Identity Card
** Current Residential Certificate from Chairman / B.D.O. / Prodhan in original

How to renew arms licence?

Yearly renewal of Arms licences are done from this end in the month of December every year in most cases, in few cases renewal is done from this end time to time. Application for renewal is made in white paper. Rs. 20/- has to be paid for renewal of single & Double barrel gun & Rs. 50/- for rifle. A token amount has to be deposited for Red Cross fund.
