Notification for admission to B.Arch programme 2012 at BIT Patna Through Institutional Counselling

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to 5 year (10 Semester)

B.Arch programme of the Institute at BIT Campus, Patna, for the session 2012-13.

Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria :
1) Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1987 are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X, High School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.
2) Candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination including Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate.
3) The candidate must have appeared in AIEEE 2012 and having following overall AIR in AIEEE 2012;
Ranges of AIR in AIEEE 2012 :
General : Up to AIR 25,000 (in Architecture)
SC , ST, PH : All candidates who are eligible for Central counselling

Selection procedures :
Provisional selection will be on the basis of AIR in AIEEE 2012, provided that candidates satisfy the eligibility criteria of age and marks in Class 12 / Equivalent Qualifying Examination. Provisional selection list will be notified by 7pm on 29 July 2012 only on our website and Notice Boards at Mesra and no separate intimations will be sent to candidates.

Fee :
Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.2,500/- (General) and Rs.1,500/- (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable) in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at Ranchi.

How to Apply :
i) Download and print the application form available on our Institute website.
ii) Completed application and required documents should be sent to

positively by the due date. Write B.Arch. 2012 at BIT Patna on the envelope.

Important Dates :
Last date for receipt of completed forms at Mesra : 27 July 2012
Publication of 1st selection list : 29 July 2012
Admission against 1st selection list : 30 July 2012 Onwards
Classes will commence from : 2 August 2012

List of Enclosures to be submitted along with the completed application form;
1. Crossed Demand Draft
2. A set of Photocopies of the same as listed below : (write your name and “B.Arch-2012” on the back of each of the photocopies):
a) Pass certificate of Class 10
b) Marksheet of Class 10
c) Marksheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
d) Admit Card of AIEEE 2012
e) Score Card of AIEEE 2012
f) Caste certificate (if applicable), which should be in proper format and signed by appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO.
g) Physically Handicapped Category certificate (if applicable) in proper format from appropriate authority (civil Surgeon).
h) One recent colour photograph – [same as paste on the form] and attached by clip (write your Name, Form No and “BArch-2012” on the back of the photo)
i) Photo identification: (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, School / College ID are acceptable)

Documents required at the time of Admission :
Provisionally selected candidates will be required to submit all these original documents at the time of admission (except Photo ID).
