Qn No 180 says, `It rained BITTERLY throughout the day, spoiling all our plans to go out'.
The alternatives given are (A) intermittently, (B) strongly, (C) fiercely and (D) No improvement. The answer key given by SSC is (A). If the rain was intermittent, there would have been some break in between two spells of rain, and they could have gone out. So the answer should be either strongly or fiercely, preferably fiercely. The word meaning of BITTER is hard to bear, so the answer should be FIERCELY.
incorrect answers (022 LP 1) given by SSC on CGL 2012
There observations are related to Test From No 022 LP 1 dated 08 Jul 12 (AN) for CGL Exam.
Question No 6 reads, `ZYWX : MLKJ :: RQPO : ?
If you go back from Z, M is the 13th letter, L - 14th, K - 15th and J - 16th. So, to find out correct answer, one should count 13th to 16th letters starting from R, which will be E, D, C and B (Answer B). But SSC has given the answer as (A), which is DCBA,and this seems to be incorrect.
Question No 44 says, South East becomes North, North-East becomes West, then what will be North-West?
To South East become North, one has to turn left three directions (EAST, NE and North). To NE become West, again one has to turn left three directions. So, by turning lest three times, North-West becomes SOUTH.
But SSC has shown the answer as (A), which is East. This is incorrect. will you please take up the matter with the concerned authorities please?
