Qualifications :
Cat. No. 1 : PRINCIPAL
(i) At least 55% marks in Post Graduation as well as in Graduation from a recognized university; and
(ii) B.Ed. or M.Phil from a recognized University with 55% marks; and
(iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A. /M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject;
Age : Not above 45 years as on 31.07.2012.

Cat. No. 2 : POST GRADUATE TEACHERS (PGTs)
Qualifications common to all categories of PGTs except Cat. No. 19 :
(i) The subject in which Post Graduation is done should be one of the subjects in Graduation; and
(ii) B.Ed. with 50% marks from recognized university/institute. However, in the case of candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) or M,Phil with 50% marks from recognized university/institute, condition of B.Ed. will not be applicable;

Cat. No. 2 (b) : 36 posts of PGT Hindi - M.A. Hindi with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (c) : 36 posts of PGT History - M.A. History with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (d) : 36 posts of PGT Political Science -M.A. Pol. Science with atleast 55% marks from a recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (e) : 36 posts of PGT Economics - M.A. Economics/ Applied Economics/Business Economics with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (f) : 36 posts of PGT Geography - M.A. Geography with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (g) : 36 posts of PGT Sanskrit- M.A. Sanskrit with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (h) : 36 posts of PGT Biology - M.Sc. Zoology/Botany/ Bio-Science/Genetics/Micro-Biology/ Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/ Life Science/ Molecular Bio. with at least 55% from recognized university marks, provided that the applicant had studied Botany & Zoology at Graduation level.
Cat. No. 2 (i) : 36 posts of PGT Physics - M.Sc. Physics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics/Electronics Physics with at least 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (j) : 36 posts of PGT Chemistry - M.Sc. Chemistry or Bio- Chemistry with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (k) : 36 posts of PGT Mathematics - M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (l) : 36 posts of PGT Commerce - M.Com. with Accounting/Cost accounting/Financial accounting as a major subject of study with atleast 55% marks from recognized university. Holders of degree of M.Com. in Applied/ Business Economics shall not be eligible.
Cat. No. 2 (m) : 10 posts of PGT Urdu - M.A. Urdu with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (n) : 20 posts of PGT Punjabi - M.A. Punjabi with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (o) : 36 posts of PGT Music - M.A. Music with atleast 55% marks from recognised university.
Cat. No. 2 (p) : 36 posts of PGT Fine Arts - M.A. Fine Arts with atleast 55% marks from recognised university;
