Job Description
Performs managerial duties which is listed below as API -Chief Scientist, to lead other researcher as well as to conduct API research work in person .

- Coordination toward the launch of EPM R&D system ( Installation of equipment, creation of SOPs and R&D Rules etc..) based on Eisai Network Company policies

- Recommends the efficiency of synthetic route after attesting to it by experiment, and obtaining the appropriate scale-up data. Manufacture the necessary quantities of products which are required from Project along with analytical researcher, on a timely basis.

- Vendor management of Indian CMOs for supplying necessary amount of product which is of required quality level.

- Support of vendor management of Indian CMOs by other ENW API research functions, in the case of contract-out based on their development technology.

- Support of technology transfer from other ENW API research functions to EPM production department.

- Support improvement research of process for commercial production in EPMï¼

Desired Candidate Profile
- Synthetic Organic Chemistry based Ph.D, and minimum of 10 years direct experience of process research in pharmaceutical company or Contract research organization

- Experience of research director or group leader. Business or research experience in European, American or Japanese enterprise or university and also in India

- Demonstrate strong knowledge of developing process of API synthesis from synthetic chemistry and chemical engineering point of view, and Extensive experience in handling of Analytical equipment

- Proven ability to handle products safely on chemical process, and the ability to estimate and remove the risk for pilot plant production

- Strong understanding of cGMP and other guideline in pharmaceutical development for manufacturing API is required, as well as working as a compliance abiding employee of Eisai net work company

- Extensive experience in managing other research chemists in order to achieve objective goal, as well as leadership in the function and ability to work together with other relevant section and ability of labor management is needed.

- Proven ability to speak and communicate for Eisai global collaboration in English.

- Proven ability of improvement in API manufacturing process for efficient optimization and cost reduction in commercial products.

- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ChemDraw and email communication skills are required.

- Excellent written, oral, communication and organizational skills, leadership, training and interpersonal skills are necessary.

- Good organizational skills, planning and the ability to multitask is a plus and experience in working with diverse cultures in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Experience of NDA and/or MAA submission and/or Pre Approval Inspection is preferable.

Piperidine derivatives are biologically important class of compounds owing to their presence in a wide variety of naturally occurring alkaloids and numerous drugs & drug intermediates. Likewise, N-chloroacetylated piperidones also reported to possess biological activity. As a consequence, we have synthesized few N-chloroacetylated piperidones and characterized using IR, 1H, 13C NMR spectral analysis
- The following compounds have been synthesized by the 2,6-diarylpiperidones are treatment with chloroacetylchloride in the presence of triethylamine base afforded the corresponding N-chloroacetyl-2,6-diarylpiperidin-4-ones.
o N-Chloroacetyl-2,6-bis(m-fluorophenyl)piperidin-4-one
o N-Chloroacetyl-3-isopropyl-2,6-bis(m-fluorophenyl)piperidin-4-one
- The above synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral analysis.
