Applications are invited upto 8th August 2012 for three posts of Scientist ‘C’ (Medical) at the ICMR’s National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Chennai in the Pay Band PB-3, Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- and other usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms.

Essential Qualification & Experience :
(i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI from a recognized University.
(ii) Four years R&D / teaching experience in the related subject after obtaining essential qualification (i) above.

Desirable Qualification :
(i) MD in related subjects (Medicine, Pediatrics, Chest & TB Respiratory Medicine etc.) recognized by MCI from a recognized University.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Job Requirements :
Scientist on these positions are expected to design and develop independent research projects on thematic areas covered by National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Chennai in addition to participating in ongoing clinical trials and operational research studies in the fields of TB and HIV-TB co-infection. The candidate should be able to carry out multi centric studies and manage administrative responsibility. Scientist will have to take primary responsibility for day to day care of trial patients as well as participate in research activities.

Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

Fee :
