Applications are invited in prescribed form from the candidates desirous for admission to Post-Graduate Programme in Agriculture (Including M.Tech. in Agril. Engineering), Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Forestry, and Biotechnology of Birsa Agricultural University as detailed below for the Session 2012-13.
I. Doctoral Programme :

(6) Veterinary Medicine

(10) Veterinary Physiology.
Eligibility criteria :
(a) Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.
(b) Minimum overall grade point average (O.G.P.A.) 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s degree level. A candidate can apply for Doctoral Programme only in the Major subject of study at Master’s degree level.
(c) Merit list will be prepared on the basis of Entrance test to be held in 26thAugust 2012
(d) Candidate appearing in final year exams can also apply but he/she must submit required certificates at the time of counseling.

Eligibility Criteria :
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (4 years course), Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (5 Years course) and Forestry (4 years course) for admission to M.Sc. (Ag.)/ M.V. Sc. / M.Sc. (Forestry) Programme, respectively. However for M. Tech. in Agril. Engineering with specialization on Farm Power & Machinery, Post Harvest Processing & Food Engineering and Soil & Water Conservation Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Ag. Engg./ Mechanical Engg., Agril. Engg.,/ Chemical Engg. & Ag. Engg./ Civil Engg., respectively, is required. For admission to M.Sc. (Biotechnology), B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology is essential where as for Agriculture, Veterinary science and Forestry Students, the graduation degree in respective stream will be essential for Admission in Biotechnology.
(ii) Minimum Overall Grade Point Average (O.G.P.A.) and Subject Grade Point Average (S.G.P.A.) both of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent percentage of marks in aggregate at Bachelor’s Degree level for General and BC-I/BC-II candidates and for SC/ST candidates 5.50/10.00 O.G.P.A. / S.G.P.A. or equivalent percentage of marks is required.
(iii) The merit list will be prepared on the basis of Entrance test to be held in 26th August, 2012
(iv) Candidate appearing in final year exams can also apply but he /she must submit required certificates at the time of counseling which will follow admission.

i) Rs. 700/ for General/BC-I/BC-II
ii) Rs. 300/- for ST/SC Candidates)
Application Form :
The Application Forms and Prospectus can be obtained from 18.06.2012 to 17.07.2012 in person during office hour from the office of the Registrar, Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi - 834006 on cash payment of Rs. 10 (Ten) only. The Application form along with Admit card with Application fee of Rs. 700/- for General/ BC – I /BC – II and Rs. 300/- for ST/SC Candidates. in the form of Bank Draft from any nationalized Bank Payable to Comptroller, Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi – 834006 may be sent to address given bellow on or before 17.07.2012 upto 5.00 P.M. Fee of Application form paid in any other form will not be accepted.
