ADMISSION TO THREE YEAR B.A./B.SC./B.COM/B.B.A/B.C.A (General) COURSE
PART-FIRST, SESSION 2012-13

The regular teaching work of the class shall begin immediately after opening of colleges in summer zone.

It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that admission to PART-FIRST of the Three Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/B.B.A/B.C.A(General) Course for the academic session 2012-13 in the Government/Private Degree Colleges affiliated to the University of Jammu shall be made as under;
1) Date of start of admission : 25-06-2012
2) Last date of admission without late fee : 01-07-2012

In case the seats are available, the Principals may grant late admission on payment of late fee as under:-
a)First 7 days 02-07-2012 to 08-07-2012 : Rs. 150/-
b)Another count of 7 days delay after the expiry of last date as (a) above. 9-07-2012 to 15-07-2012 : Rs.290/-

Fee :
The Vice-Chancellor may consider grant of late admission for one month only after the expiry of last date as per (b) above on payment of Rs.1480/- subject to the condition that wherever income of a candidate’s parents is Rs. 3300/- p.m. or below, she/he be exempted from payment of Rs. 1480/-. However, late fee shall be charged in such cases as prescribed at (b) above.

Eligibility for Three Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Course (Part-First) :
** Admission of students to the Three Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Course (Part-First )shall be open to a person having passed the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 Pattern) examination of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto subject to availability of seats.
** A candidate who is placed under reappear category only in one subject in Hr Sec Part-II (10+2 pattern) shall also be eligible to seek provisional admission in Govt Colleges opened in 2005 and onwards and private affiliated colleges on his/her own risk and responsibility, subject to clearance of the backlog within the prescribed chances.

Eligibility for Three Year B.B.A. Course (Part-First) :
** Admission of students to the Three Year B.B.A. Course (Part-First) shall be open to those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 Pattern) examination of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto and has obtained at least 50% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of general category candidates and 45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates.
**Provided that the admission in the Govt. colleges shall be made directly by the admission committee of the college concerned on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate/s in the qualifying examination. Provided further that the admission in the Non Government Colleges shall be made by the centralized
** Admission Committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor on the basis of merit- cum -preference of the candidate.
** Provided furthermore that the admission to Non Local Candidates in Non Govt. Colleges shall be granted under the second preference category.

Eligibility for Three Year B.C.A. Course (Part-First) :
** Admission of students to the Three Year B.C.A. Course (Part-First) shall be open to those candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 Pattern) examination of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto with or without Mathematics as one of the elective subjects and has obtained at least 45% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General Category Candidates and 40% marks In case of SC/ST candidates.
** Provided that the admission in the Govt. Colleges shall be made directly by the admission committee of the college concerned on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate/s in the qualifying examination.
** Provided further that the admission in the Non - Government Colleges shall be made by the Centralized Admission Committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor on the basis of merit-cum-preference of the candidates.
** Provided further also that the admission to Non - Local Candidates in Non Govt. Colleges shall be granted under the second preference category.
