Admission to the First Semester Course of the Five Year B.A.,LL.B./ B.A.,LL.B.(Hons) Degree programme, 2012-2013

Applications in prescribed forms are invited from eligible candidates for admission into First Semester of the above course for the academic session 2012-2013.

Eligibility :
A candidate for the admission shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination ( 10+2) or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for general candidates and not less than 40% for SC/ST /OBC candidates,

Age Limit : Not above 20 ( twenty) years of age

How to Apply :
i) Prescribed application form with the Prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) from
** Gauhati University Publication Department and
** Gauhati University Information Centre, WUS Building, Ambari,Guwahati-1.
ii) The Application form for admission may also be downloaded from the University website
iii) Duly filled in forms with additional categorization/ reservation forms, if any, sports quota of any caliber, will be entertained by the Office of the
Principal,
University Law College,
G.U.
only during the office hours till 02-07-2012.

Fee : Rs.300/-
The payment may be made at the G.U. Cash Counter or by Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar, GU, and payable at State Bank of India, G.U. Branch.

Admission form & Prospectus available ( on all working days ) : 23-06-2012 Saturday
Last date of submission of filled-in Application forms against Acknowledgment Receipt : 02-07-2012 Monday
Wednesday Publication of selection list on the college notice board and GU website : 04-07-2012
Complain, if any, against the selection list . No complain will be entertained thereafter. : 05-07-2012 Thursday
Interview and admission of eligible candidate whose names appear in the selection list from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. : 06-07-2012 Friday
Orientation Programme and Commencement of classes : 01-08- 2012 Wednesday

Note :
** Request by post must be accompanied by self addressed envelop of 25 cm x 31 cm in size with postage stamp of Rs. 50/- ( Rupees fifty ) along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- only
** Additional categorization/reservation form is obtainable from the office of the Secretary, University Classes, G.U. on production of payment challan of Rs. 30/- only as cost of this form payable at G.U. Cash Counter.
