Admission to the First Semester Course of the Three Year LL.B. /LL.B.(Hons) Degree programme, 2012

Eligibility:
Applications in prescribed forms are invited from eligible graduate in any discipline of knowledge from this University or any other recognized University with a minimum percentage of marks not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category applicants and 40% of the total marks in case of SC, ST and OBC/MOBC applicants, and who is not above 30 ( thirty) years of age in case of general category and 35 (thirty five) years of age for the applicant belonging to SC or ST or OBC/MOBC community as on 1-6-2012 for admission into First Semester of the above course for the academic session 2012-2013.

Fee : Rs. 300/-
The payment may be made at the G.U. Cash Counter or by Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar, GU, and payable at State Bank of India, G.U. Branch.

How to Apply :
i) The Application form for admission may also be downloaded from the University website.
ii) Prescribed application form with the Prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs. 300/-(Rupees three hundred only) from
** Gauhati University Publication Department and
** Gauhati University Information Centre, Ambari,Guwahati-1.
iii) Duly filled in forms with additional categorization/reservation forms, if any, will be entertained by the Office of the
Principal,
University Law College,
G.U.
during the office hours till 09-07-2012.

Admission Schedule :
23-06-2012 : Saturday Admission form & Prospectus available ( on all working days )
09-07-2012 : Monday Last date of submission of filled-in Application forms against Acknowledgment Receipt
12-07-2012 : Thursday Publication of selection list on the college notice board and GU website
13-07-2012 : Friday Complain, if any, against the selection list . No complain will be entertained thereafter.
16-07-2012 : Monday Interview and admission of eligible candidate whose names appear in the selection list from 11a.m. to 5 p.m.
01-08-2012 : Wednesday Orientation programme and Commencement of classes

Note :
** Request by post must be accompanied by self addressed envelop of 25 cm x 31 cm in size with postage stamp of Rs. 50/- ( Rupees fifty ) along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- only
** Additional categorization/reservation form is obtainable from the office of the Secretary, University Classes, G.U. on production of payment challan of Rs. 30/- only as cost of this form payable at G.U. Cash Counter.
