Job Description
-- Managing Oracle systems (Installations, upgrades, patches).
-- Design of Oracle Systems architecture.
-- Management of Oracle AS infrastructure.
-- Design and development of backup/recovery solutions, System Management procedures and DR solutions.
-- Setup Development environments (forms, reports, discoverer, workflow builder, JDeveloper).
-- Perform application tuning, performance monitoring and investigative troubleshooting (root cause analysis).
-- Familiar with OEM and Oracle Applications customisation standards.
-- Should have extensive knowledge of Oracle Apps Design, Development and Implementation methodology.
-- Knowledge on PL/ SQL, Procedures, triggers etc.
-- Should be able to support, guide technical team for resolution of issues.
-- Understanding of customisation, upgrade projects of Oracle Apps (10.7, 11.03, 11I).
-- Understanding of Oracle Apps interfaces (Finance / Manufacturing) methodology and in Oracle Reports and forms customization (Oracle D2K 6, 6i).
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory / Required skills:
-- 5 years+ Oracle Apps DBA Experience.
-- Well versed with Oracle E-Business Applications from version 11i to R12.
-- Familiar with installation, cloning, patching and upgrade of any E-Business suite up to Release 12.
-- Familiar with installation, configuration and support of Oracle Application Server (9iAS and 10g iAS).
-- Familiar with implementation of Webcache, OID, Single Sign-On and upgrade of Oracle Application Server.
-- Capable of handling any issues related to all Oracle databases starting from Oracle8i to 10g.
-- Capable of support/implement RMAN, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle RAC, Oracle Dataguard.
-- Manage backup and recovery of databases using RMAN and/or Network Appliance Snapshots.
-- Capable of supporting various oracle products like Oracle Application Express (HTMLDB), Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Portal and Oracle JDeveloper.
-- Maintenance, support and upgrade of various Oracle databases to ensure operational effectiveness of the Oracle environment.
-- Familiar with Oracle Patching including Oracle CPU Patches.
-- Establish and maintain new applications environments (installing and cloning) to support project. environments and managing end-to-end delivery of team commitments to project based work.
-- Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.
-- Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
-- Monitor databases for errors and perform problem determination when necessary.
-- Should have understanding of customisation and upgrade projects of Oracle Apps (10.7, 11.03, 11i).
Highly Regarded:
-- Oracle Developer, JDeveloper & Portal.
-- Oracle Interconnect.
-- RCS and/or SCCS Configuration Management software.
-- Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with internal and external customers.
-- Good understanding of AOL framework, OA framework, AD framework and data security.
-- Having XML Publisher, Discoverer knowledge is a value addition.
-- Exposure on Oracle 11g and Oracle Fusion will be highly regarded but not required.
-- Helpdesk skills- ticket logging, updates and resolution.
-- Oracle health checks.
