MBA & MFC Admission (Session 2012)

On-line Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the MBA and MFC programmes for the academic session 2012. The candidates are advised to peruse the respective Programme Prospectus-2012 thoroughly and check eligibility/other details before submitting their application forms.

Basic Eligibility :
Candidates having obtained any one of the following recognized degrees with at least 50% marks for Open Merit and 45% marks for Reserved categories are eligible for the said programmes
(i ) Bachelor Degree in Commerce/ Management/ Arts/Science under 10+2+3 scheme or
(ii ) Bachelors degree in Agriculture/ Engineering/ Law (Professional)/ Medicine/ Technology/ etc., or
(iii ) Passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or Cost & Works Accountants or Company Secretaries of India, or
(iv) Obtained any other qualification which is recognized by the University of Kashmir as equivalent to the above qualifications.

Availability of Prospectus :
Prospectus-2012 for MBA & MFC programmes (bearing distinct Serial No. inside the Prospectus) shall be available in the office s of The Business School and the Department of Business and Financial studies, University of Kashmir respectively against a cash payment of Rs.250/-

Mode of Selection :
Candidates shall be admitted to the Programme on the basis of merit obtained in latest MAT/CAT score 2012 (composite score reduced to the base of 75%), Group Discussion (15 %) and Personal Interview (10%). Only those candidates shall be called to appear in GD and PI, who will be shortlisted for the same on the basis of merit obtained in the MAT/CAT score as provided under rules.

Issuance of Prospectus/Submission of On-line Forms : From June 04, 2012
Last date of submission of On-line Application Forms and hard Copy : June 20, 2012

Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard copy) :
After submitting their On-Line Application Forms the candidates must submit the downloaded Form (hard copy) with the following documents in the office of the Director, The Business School for MBA Programme and Head, Department of Business and Financial Studies for MFC programme, University Campus Hazratbal, Srinagar and obtain a receipt for record.
i) Marks Certificate of the examinations passed
ii ) Copy of Valid MAT/CAT score Card
iii ) State Subject Certificate
iv) Original Copy of the cash receipt obtained against purchase of Prospectus
v) Receipt of fee Rs. 300/- deposited in J&K Bank ( University Copy)
vi ) Reserved Category Certificate (i f claiming admission under Reserved Category)
vii ) NOC from the employer, in case employed in Government or any other Department/ Institution

I want to know about C.A entrances. I have heard that a student has to go through in 12 entrances to get a seat in C.A course. And if qualified then have to study in Delhi, because currently Kashmir University is not offering the same course. Is C.A 4 yrs degree? Please provide complete information.
