Admission Notification- 2012-13

The Institute invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following pre-service Teacher Education programmes for the academic year 2012-13.

Programme : B.Sc.Ed.
(Integrated Programme to prepare Secondary School Teachers in Science and Mathematics)
Duration : 4 Years (Eight Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate with subjects;
i) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for PCM Stream, and
ii) Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR Chemistry, Botany & Zoology for CBZ stream

Programme : B.A.Ed.
(Integrated Programme to prepare Secondary School Teachers in English and Social Science)
Duration : 4 Years (Eight Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate with English, Regional Language and any two of the subjects: History, Geography, Economics, Political Science & Sociology

Programme : M.Sc.Ed.
(Integrated Post-Graduate Programme to prepare Senior Secondary School Teachers in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics)
Duration : 6 years (Twelve Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Programme : M.Ed.
(RIEM Scheme)
Duration : 1 Year (Two Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. / B.A.Ed. or equivalent degree with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a PG degree will be given appropriate weightage.

Programme : Diploma Course in Guidance and Counseling (DCGC):
One year DCGC is offered through distance mode. Admission procedures begin from September / October 2012. Interested candidates may send their request for further details to Principal, RIE, Mysore or e-mail to idgc.ncertmys@gmail.com

TUITION FEE :
As per NCERT rules, a tuition fee of Rs.250/- p.m. for ten months in a year will be charged from every student admitted.

i) General : Rs.500/-
ii) SC/ST candidates : Rs.350/-

Mode of Selection : Admission to M.Sc.Ed Programme is on all India basis, whereas admission to B.Sc.Ed, B.A.Ed and M.Ed Programmes is open to candidates of Southern States and UT’s only. Selection for B.Sc.Ed, B.A.Ed, M.Sc.Ed and M.Ed will be on the basis of Marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance test. The entrance test will be in the respective content areas for which applied. Entrance test will also consist of an English proficiency test.
