Job Description
PCM is looking for energetic self driven professionals wanting to move through the real estate cycle from engineering to project management and is seeking to fill the position of Project Engineer. The career path for the successful candidate is to develop into a Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

Control and supervision of all the civil works contractors on the site however special emphasis on building works interior finishes.

Reporting in line with company policies to the Senior Project Engineer âCivil for relevant design, procurement, schedule, cost plan, safety and quality.
Responsible for reporting on progress of the works, testing and commissioning of all works in line with cost plan and schedule.
Get involved with the work package from design development through procurement and execution of the project.

Develop a clear understanding of the requirement of the project in particular based on the client brief.

Assist the Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer in technical aspects during the execution of the works by the Contractor.

Coordinate with the consultants/architects representative for regular and specific site checks and approvals of the civil works as required from time to time.

Develop a clearly understand of the requirement s of services like HVAC, Electrical, PHE, and FPS that are likely to interface with civil works and help develop adequate execution strategies .

Help coordinate services installation requiring assistance with the relevant engineersâ team.

ïDevelop a clear understanding of all safety requirements at site and ensure a safe working methodology is approved and implemented at the work site and work closely with the Safety Manager at all times.

Study all GFC drawings and adopt a suitable check on technicality of execution.
Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and assist with any review of BOQ for the package from time to time and check on executed quantities to point out variations in cost plan, change orders etc well in advance.

Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation process and checking of the Contractors running bills. Responsible for all site measurement and quantifications of the works for payment certifications.

Coordinate with client's engineer(s) (if required).

Quality control on the works as per specification and standard codes of practice.

Responsible for all documentation required as per the project management plan and the quality assurance plan, i.e. material testing in laboratory etc.

Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering

A minimum of 3 years experience preferably in the finishing works on buildings.

Good working knowledge of civil engineering structures and interior finishes design and execution.

Basic sense in terms of safety standards to be followed; any additional qualification is welcome

Exposure to contractual matters beneficial.

Practical delivery knowledge of real estate construction sector

Basic planning skills and a knowledge of construction sequences for large buildings.

Good communication skills, presentation skills in Power Point, computer literate-ability to use MS Office, MS Project and Auto CAD and a willingness to learn new skills.

Generalist, good communicator, enterprising & a team player

Result oriented with high aptitude to learn and excel
