Admission Notification – Ph.D. Programme in Chemistry – 2012

Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to the Ph.D. programme in Chemistry on the basis of Entrance Examination 2012.

Eligibility :
The candidate should have a good academic record with a first or high second class Master’s Degree (minimum 55% marks in M.Sc. for unreserved category and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates) in any science subject from a University/Institute recognized by the University of Delhi.

Fee :
State Bank of India draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “The Registrar, University of Delhi” as Entrance Examination fee.

Scholarship : All students admitted to the course shall be given a scholarship of Rs. 5000/- p.m. for the duration of the course, subject to the rules of the university in this regard.

Syllabus : M.Sc. Chemistry, University of Delhi

Duration of Examination : 3 Hrs.

Delhi – 110 007.

Important Dates :
i) Last Date of submission of forms : 30th June, 2012 (Saturday)
ii) Date of Entrance Examination : 10th July, 2012 (Tuesday) at 10:00 am at the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi
iii) Expected Date for Declaration of Result : 16th July, 2012(Monday) at 5:00 pm

Note :
Attested photostat copies of the following certificates/degrees must be attached with the application form :
i) Age certificate (High/Higher Secondary School Certificate)
ii) Mark sheet of B.Sc. Programme/B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination.
iii) Mark sheet of M.Sc. Examination / Awaiting results
iv) Character certificate from the last Institution attended.
v) Employed candidate should get his/her application forwarded through the Head of the Department/Institution, certifying that he/she will be given the necessary leave as per the requirements of the Ph.D. programme.
vi) S.C./S.T./Physically Challenged/O.B.C. candidate should attach a certificate from the
appropriate authority.
