Kolkata Port Trust intends to fill up 3 posts of 2nd Officers, Dredger & Despatch Service (1 reserved for OBC) and 1 post of Senior Hydrographer (on Training), Hydrographic Service. Candidates in possession of any of the following Certificates of Competencies issued by the Director General of Shipping, Government of India are eligible:
a) 2nd Mates (FG);
b) B.Sc. Nautical Science;
c) Dredge Mate-Grade-I

Training Period :
42 months including passing out of the following examinations :
1. First Mates (FG) Ltd. or Dredge Master-Grade – II.
2. Master (FG) or Dredge Master- Grade – I.
3. Tug Pilot examination.

Name of the Post : Senior Hydrographer (on Training) Hydrographic Service.

Pay scale : Rs.20600- 46500/-
Designation on appointment : Senior Hydrographer under Training.
Training Period : 45 months including passing out of First Mates (FG) Ltd., three departmental examinations on Hydrography and Pilot’s examinations.

Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on 01.06.2012
