    Also quite conversant with the Utilities operations of the refinery, consisting of three numbers Gas Turbines (Frame V and VI machines) for power generation, High Efficiency Boilers, DM Plants, water treatment plant, Air system network, RLNG network, Effluent treatment plant and other allied services. Handled installation, commissioning of New/Revamped facilities in Utilities very effectively and ensured timely completion.
    Handled the operation of State of art Effluent Treatment plant of the capacity AT 240 M3/hr( consisting of PACT and WAR units) and ensured that all the effluents standards are met.
    During stay in BPCL had several opportunities to visit abroad in connection with the specialized training programme, Seminars and Business related issues. Few areas worth mentioning are as follows.

    - Headed the commissioning team for MTBE plant and Crude Distillation Unit successfully.
    - Headed the Commissioning Team for RLNG facilities in the refinery and established the monitoring system for consumption/allocation. This facility was commissioned very smoothly and monitoring system is working well.
    - I acted as a committee member for drafting the OISD standard STD-194 dealing with the storage and Handling of LNG.
    - Very good experience in manpower handling in plant operation, settling manpower related issues.
    - Result oriented and Timely completion of Targets.
    - Systematic Trouble shooting for operational problems.
    - Planning and handling of plants planned Turn around activities within time targets.
    - Preparation of schemes for various modifications for the plant improvements.
    - Handling safety related issues, which are of prime importance in the
    Refinery operations/Hydrocarbon handling.

    6. Other Information’s :
    a) Experience at Oman Refinery Company
    - I was deputed to M/S Oman Refinery Company Ltd, Sultanate of Oman (Nov’2000 to Nov’2003).During the stay at ORC, worked in operations department as the Area Superintendent for Crude Distillation Unit/Reformer/Utilities. I was given responsibilities for coordinating the IMS related activities for the operations TD-department. Planning and execution of Turn Around activities for CDU complex was carried out in time bound manner. Prepared the new operating Manuals for CDU and process flow diagrams for various units and operations.
    - During stay at ORC, coordinated the project related activities for DHDS complex(PFD and P&ID checking, Team member for HAZOP study and identifying various Tie-in points location and safely handing over it for execution etc)
    - Given one week long orientation training to the new batch of operators to get them familiarized with the plant operational activities for various plants of ORC.
    - Handled plant emergencies very effectively and actively did the trouble shooting at number of occasions.
    1977 to1988 (Fertilizer Plant- M/S HFCL-Haldia, India)
    Worked in Fertilizer Industry (M/S Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation LTD, Haldia) during plant erection, precommissioning, commissioning and sustained running of plants (Ammonia and Nitro phosphate plants.). During the project stage, extensively associated with the PFD and P&ID checking and suggesting necessary modifications for the operational/safety improvements. Detailed planning of pre commissioning/commissioning activities was done and plants were put to operation successfully. Subsequent to the project completion worked as Shift In charge in various sections of Ammonia Plant and Nitro phosphate Plant. Worked as general shift coordinator for various maintenance activities and other related activities of Nitro phosphate plant.
    Under gone specialized training programme for the manufacturing of Complex Fertilizers at M/S Stamicarbon, Netherlands for a period of one month.
    1974 to 1977 (Heavy Chemical Industry-M/S Kanoria Chemicals-Renukoot, India)
    Worked in Heavy Chemical Industry (M/S Kanoria Chemicals and Industries Limited) in operations department. Worked as Shift Chemical Engineer in Caustic –Chlorine, HCl and Benzene Hexa Chloride Plant and was responsible for smooth operation of plants. Worked in Mercury Cells for Caustic Soda manufacturing. Handled plant emergencies very effectively.
    b) Other Information’s :
    - Suggested and implemented the scheme for water conservation in the refinery. Effluent water from ETP is being recycled to the process plant cooling towers and thereby saving of Rs. 1.81 Crores was achieved in the refinery. Awarded 2nd best suggestor award by Indian National Suggestion Association and runners up trophy for the Idea award by M/S BPCL

    - As most of the period was spent in plant operations in Oil Refinery, Fertilizer plant and Heavy chemical Industry. Hence very much confident in handling any operational related activity and trouble shooting in any type of Chemical Industry.
    - Very much confident in handling the precommissioning/ commissioning activities of New facilities/projects in Refinery and Chemical Industries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers and Heavy Chemicals Industries.
    - Had a good experience in the recruitment process for Engineers and process Technicians for plant operations.
    - I am confident of imparting the systematic training for the plant operators in all the process units especially in CDU/VDU, BBU,Merox,Utilities and Effluent treatment plant etc.
