Qualification :
Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) : 3 years full time Diploma in engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Ceramics/ Civil, and Instrumentation discipline from Govt. Recognised Institution.
Attendant-cum-Technician(Trainee) : Matriculation and ITI in Fitter/ Welder/ Electrician/ Air conditioning /Refrigeration/ Electronics & Communication/ /Draughtsman/Machinist/Turner trades from Govt. Recognised Institution.
Attendant-cum-Technician(Trainee) (Crane operation) : Matriculation and ITI from Govt. Recognised Institution. Desirable: Experience of minimum one year in Operation of EOT cranes of more than or equal to 100 Tonnes capacity.
Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation) : Diploma in Engg. from Govt. / Recognised Institution with 2nd Class or 1st Class Certificate of Boiler Competency.

Age in years (as on 1/3/2012) :
i) Maximum age for Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee), Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Attendant -cum-Technician (Trainee) (Crane operation) - 28 Yrs
ii) Maximum age for Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation) - 30 Yrs

Application Fees and Processing Charges :
i) Operator-cum-Technician (BO) & Operator-cum-Technician(Trainee) : 250/-
ii) Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) : 150/-

Selection Procedure :
Written Test, Interview, and Medical Examination.
Note : The management however reserves the right not to hold written test in case sufficient eligible applications are not received for the posts advertised.

** Click on ‘Careers with SAIL’ at bottom left
** Click on jobs at SAIL
** Click on the job you want to apply
** Read all the information regarding the job then click ‘apply on line’.
** Enter e-mail ID and password
** Fill in all the information as required in application from
** Click ‘preview application’
** Check all the information you filled, if you find any issues, you can edit. If you don’t, click ‘submit’.
** Click on ‘Print Challan’ and take print out of ‘Bank Challan’
** Then go to the bank and submit the application amount and bank will provide you the journal number.
** Come back to SAIL Website, www.sail.co.in , click ‘Careers with SAIL’ and click on ‘log in’ available on the right side of the page with heading ‘Registered Applicant’.
** Enter e-mail ID and password which you have used for the filling up of application form.
** Click on ‘Payment details’.
** Enter all the details in the form and ‘submit’. Candidate can take the print out of Registration Slip
** Registered candidates will go to ‘log in’ by entering e-mail ID and password, they can download their e-admit card.
