    Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today ordered to immediately fill 28,596 vacancies in the noon meal centres all over the State.

    This include 4,373 nutritious noon meal organisers, 5,717 cooks, 6,703 cooking assistants, 4,689 anganwadi workers, 1,168 small anganwadi staff and 5,946 anganwadi assistants.

    According to an official release here, the Chief Minister also ordered to construct toilets at 29,727 child care centres across Tamilnadu at a cost of Rs 23.78 crore.

    Besides this, Jayalalithaa has allotted Rs 27.21 crore to improve infrastructure in 45,345 child care centres and Rs 47.61 crore to undertake repair works in anganwadi centres.

    The release also recalled various initiatives implemented by Jayalalithaa in Tamilnadu, aimed at the overall welfare of women and children.
