Title : EDA tools support engneer

Posting Description:

Provide EDA tools (e.g. Cadence Allegro, Mentor ePD) support to RSPTG HW design teams
.Interface with Engineering services function leads to define & advocate tools initiatives
.Participate and/or program manage EDA related tools initiatives
.Continuously monitor and drive improvements in tools support processes
.As requires, develop internal tools and processes to complement external tools
.Assist in defining tools budget and license requirements
.Monitor ECAD tools developments by vendors and assist in evaluation of new tools and releases
.Assist in developing and supporting internal ECAD design environment


Education Background:

. Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Required Skill:

. Thorough understanding of EDA tools installation, environment setup and management in Windows 2000/XP, Linux and Solaris Operating systems
. Extensive EDA tools support experience in Schematic Capture, FPGA development and high speed PCB design environments.
. Extensive experience with EDA tools such as ePD, I/O Designer and Allegro
. In depth knowledge in Windows 2000/XP, Linux and Solaris Operating systems
. Good understanding of Database tools such as Oracle, MySQL and MS Access

. Familiar with web development tools such as Java, XML
. Familiar with development languages such as Perl, C++
. Familiar with source control systems such as Clearcase, CVS
. Familiar with licenses, application and data servers management, FlexLM, LSF administration.

. Strong written and Oral communication skills
. Experience in project management, processes development
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

. Demonstrated teamwork as well as leadership and influence skills
. Strong process focus, able to see opportunities for improvement in the business
