RESUME FOR THE POST OF HOME-BASED MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : I am a B.Sc graduate. I don’t know much about computers, only that much that is required for medical transcription. I have not done computer course.

WORK EXPERIENCE :
I did the transcription course and worked for Cybernation Infotech, Baroda for 3 years, as an in-house employee, doing medical transcription, on live files of various specialty doctors such as, cardiovascular, neurology, operative, gastroenterology, radiology, nephrology, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, psychiatry, gynecology and ophthalmology.

TRANSCRIPTION ACCURACY : My accuracy, in medical transcription, is around 95%.

TRANSCRIBING SPEED : My typing speed is, at present, about 45 words/minute. In a day, I can finish around 30 minutes of transcription, provided the audio volume and clarity is good. I have excellent English grammar and spelling skills, as well as a broad medical terminology background.

SALARY DRAWN : 10,000/- p.m.

TIME I CAN DEVOTE TO MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION : On any particular day, including Sunday, I can work for approximately 9 hours, from 9.30 a.m. to 12 a.m., with breaks in between for lunch, dinner, etc. I am not prepared to work in the night.

Medical transcription is a passion to me. I devote every second of my free time towards gaining and improving my medical knowledge. I am always browsing on the internet for any new discovery or technique in the field of medicine.

DETAILS OF MY WORKING HOURS
9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
10 p.m. to 12 o’clock

I would like to mention the fact that I can work in the day shift only and that too in split hours, as detailed above, throughout the day, because I have to look after my handicapped son. The total time duration that I can devote to the transcription of files, will be around 9 hours, from 9.30 a.m. to 12 o’clock. I cannot start work earlier than 9.30 a.m.

I also would like to mention that I cannot come to office, daily, for training purposes, because of the problem I have mentioned above. I will be able to manage just one day for training/interview, if required.

I did the medical transcription course and then worked in a company, in Baroda. I was an in-house employee over there. I am now looking for a home-based medical transcription post.
