Counselling and Admission Process
There will be 3 rounds of counseling in the year 2012. First two rounds will be web based counselling and last (third) round will be SPOT round (physical appearance is essential before seat allotment at the designated Admission Centres).

1st Round of counselling Process
o Online Registration is mandatory for all eligible candidates to be considered for seat allotment in the 1st round of counselling. Eligible candidates are required to register ONLINE through Internet (http://www.nchm.nic.in) from places convenient to them during the period prescribed for the first round counseling.

2nd Round of Counselling Process
o No fresh registrations would be allowed in the 2nd round of counselling. Only the candidates who have registered in the 1st round will be eligible in this round of counselling.

SPOT (3rd ) Round of Counselling Process
Who are eligible?
1. All eligible candidates who did not register during main counselling (absentees) are also permitted for spot round.
2. Registered in the 1st round of counselling and also got the seat allotment in 1st /2nd round, but not reported at admission centre are also eligible.
3. Registered in the 1st round of counselling and also got the seat allotment in 1st /2nd round, but seat gets cancelled due to change of category or sub-category (PD) or KM etc are also eligible.
4. All the eligible candidates who had withdrawn before spot round are also eligible.
5. All Provisionally Admitted Candidates.

Conversion of seat will be followed in this round as per follows:
o First process all candidates without conversion
o Then convert OMPD _ OBPD and re-allotment
o Then convert OBPD _ OPPD and re-allotment
o Then conversion of PD seats into respective parent category OPPD _ OPNO,
SCPD _ SCNO and STPD _ STNO and re-allotment
o Then conversion of OMNO _ OBNO and re-allotment
o Then conversion of OBNO _ OPNO and re-allotment

if possible please answer my query at nikhil.pulsarmania@gmail.com. 1) I have done registration with OBC-NCL as category, but my OBC certificate is under process. I am going to get it soon, but what if i dont get it till admission time? Can i get some time to submit my certificate? If i submit affidavit that it is under process, then it will work or not.
2) Any fees concession is there for obc-ncl if my family yearly income is under 1 lakh?
3) Except obc certificate any extra NCL certificate is required for admission?
4) And any 12th L.C is required for admission or not? I lost it, so instead of that can i submit duplicate L.C if required?

My friend has written the JEE all India exam. After the first round of counselling, the authorities have opted him oriental school of hotel management(private institute). His all india rank is 6065. But now he would like to change the institute to another private institue(SRM institute of hotel management). He had made 19 choices but havent added SRM college in it. Will he be able to change the institute at the time of spot admission?
