From the desk of Chairman, CCB (AIEEE2012)
It gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings to all the candidates appearing in AIEEE-2012 and to invite all the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling and admission process.

A Central Counselling Board (CCB-2012) with Director, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela as its chairman has been constituted by the Government of India to coordinate admissions to UG degree programmes in Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning in respect of all NITs, several IIITs, IIITDMS, SPAs and other institutionsthrough a centralized counselling procedure, for the academic session 2012-13.

On the basis of performance in AIEEE-2012, rank lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech and B. Arch/ B. Planningseparately. Candidates scoring above a certain cut-off percentage of marks (being different for general (Open), OBC, OM (Other Minorities), SC, ST & PH category candidates) to be eligible for counselling shall be determined at the time of AIEEE-2012 result. The endeavour is to make the counselling and admission process candidate-friendly and reduce their anxiety and other procedural difficulties.

Online counselling was started a couple of years ago and is being continuously modified and improved every year. In an effort to further strengthen and improve the process, a few important changes are being introduced in this year’s counselling process as given below :
(i) Provision for fresh registration after Third round.
(ii) Addition of more reporting/help centres
(iii) Reduction of one round of seat allotment to minimize the gap between starting of classes and the completion of admission process.
(iv) Automatic admission to CFIsin spot selection.
