Damodar Valley Corporation invites ONLINE applications from IT Professionals having Qualifications as mentioned at Para 3 below with 3 to 5 years of experience to fill up the post of Assistant Engineer (Information Technology) (on Probation) through WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the terms and conditions mentioned hereinafter. The selected IT Engineers will be placed in DVC for contract service for a period of 3(three) years, which may be extended upto 5 years as per requirement.

Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 in Pay Band-3 (Grade Pay-Rs.5,650/-)

Nature of Appointment : On contract service for a period of 3(three) years, extendable upto upto 5 years as per requirement.

Qualifying Requirement & Experience :
1.For External Candidates & Internal Candidates(excepting Controllers in DVC) :
(A )Full time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engg.) Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science from Recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks (General/OBC)/60% marks (SC/ST) taking average of all the semesters, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular Semester/Year by the Institute /University.
(B) Candidate must have 3 to 5 years experience. The experience will be in any of the following fields :-
i. System design programming using Java.
ii. JSP / Oracle report builder.
iii. Oracle application server.
iv. Oracle database version 10g(preferably on Linux platform), tuning and performance improvement.
v. IT Security and knowledge of latest H/W and System S/W Technology.

2. For Controllers in DVC :
(A)Graduate in Science
(B)Five years of working experience as a Assist. Controller in IT Cell of DVC.

Age : Maximum 30 Years as on 01.01.2012 .

Job Description :
(i) Analysis, Design, Development, Configuration, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, Support/Maintenance, Performance Evaluation, Enhancement and Updating of IT Systems as per Business requirements of the DVC.
(ii) System Administration and maintenance of database, IT security, Network Infrastructure and Compliance with regulations.

How to Apply :
Mode of Application :
i)Candidates should apply through DVC’s Online Registration System only. The Online Registration will be available on the website www.dvc.gov.in and will remain activated from 13.00 hrs of 19.05.12 to 24.00 hrs of 14.06.2012.
ii)After successful submission of the online data, a unique Registration Number will be generated and thereafter candidates may take a print-out of the application made. Print-out without system generated number will not be accepted.
iii)The candidates are required to indicate choice of interview date in the application. While every attempt would be made to allot the choice date but DVC reserves its right to allot a date other than the choice date depending upon the circumstances and in this regard the date allotted by DVC would be final and binding.
iv).Candidates are also required to bring all original documents/testimonials including NOC, if applicable at Interview venue for verification; otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.
