I Successfully carried out the Erection and commissioning of Paper m/c #8 in Pudumjee pulp & paper mills ltd., Pune., which was brought from KIMBERLY - CLARK , KOBLENZ , GERMANY. This tissue machine is having a capacity of 60 tpd at 1200 mpm. Commissioned all thyristor Controlled sectional drives of the machine with co- ordinated DCS systems. Along with paper m/c #8 successfully commissioned a Combiner machine also.
Introduced my own logic for runout conveyor stoppage and liftarms lifting the profiles using AllenBradley drives and Changed the Problem prone obsolete drive systems of runout conveyors of press1,2&3 to new drives with logic at Tower Extrusions, Nigeria.
Carried out the total Erection and Commissioning of Artificial grass yarns production plant ( Polymer extrusion process)consisting of 4 Oerlikon Barmag machine lines and corresponding auxiliary equipments like winders , twisters, Gilbos rewinders and utility equipments like Chillers, compressors, Gas burning oven etc,.

Initially I was involved in Installation and commissioning of Siemens make Modul pack version Thyristor controller for controlling the speed of Line shaft DC drive motor of capacity 750 KW.Worked as Shift Engineer looking after the MCCs, PCCs,EOT Cranes, all types of motors,Captive power plant,etc,.
1993 PM/c 3 Modification /Project work was under taken. New sections were added in Press part (Trinip press )and dryers. Size press was newly added to produce coated papers. All the old L&T analog sectional drives were replaced by Siemens 6RA22 Digital drives. New Siemens PLC and CRP were installed to control the operation of this machine. All the drives were commissioned and speed synchronized in a record time of 3 months.
This machine was producing writing and printing grades of paper. This machine runs at 650 mpm.
Here I was mainly concentrating on Paper machine drives and it’s auxilaries and Converting section apart from other sections like Pulp mill, Soda recovery and Power House.

I was initially asked to handle the task of frequent breakdowns in converting section of tissue paper. The downtime due to frequent breakdowns was analysed and decided to modify the normal control circuit to PLC based one. The programs were written to sprecher and schuu PLC, installed and commissioned successfully to rewinders , log cutters and packing machines. After that I was promoted as Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer and was given the full responsibility of the mill. This mill was having two nos. of kraft paper machines and 3 Nos. of tissue paper machines and corresponding auxiliaries.
M/s PUDUMJEE PULP & PAPER MILLS LTD,. PUNE, India. Worked as Executive Engineer, Electrical & Electronics (1997-99)
Here I was mainly involved in Erection and commissioning of Tissue papere Machine No.8 brought from KIMBERKLY CLARK, Koblenz, Germany.This machine MG cylinder was having dual form of drying viz,. steam as well as hot air generated from gas burner. All the drives and auxilaries of this machine were commissioned , speed synchronized with coordinated DCS(ABB) control system . This machine runs at 1000 MPM ( rated for 1200 MPM. )Along with this machine came one combiner machine ( a combination of rewinding and slitting parent roll in small rolls). This machine was also commissioned successfully.
After that I was involved in De-inking Plant erection and commissioning work.

This is the biggest Aluminium Extrusion company in Nigeria belonging to TOWER ALUMINIUM GROUP, engaged in manufacturing of various types of Aluminium extrusion profiles, powder coated profiles, Anodized profiles and colour Aluminium profiles. We have 3 nos. of Extrusion presses of capacity 2000t(UBE),1800t(UBE) and 1250t(BALDWIN LIMA HAMILTON CORP,USA) with auxiliary equipments like runout conveyor, auto operated lift arms,radial saw,stretcher,container heater,billet heater(Gas fired as well as induction type),Die ovens, Ageing ovens, Bailing presses etc,. Press 2 was controlled totally by Allen bradley PLC5(RS logix software) with HMI(kelly control systems England). Presses main motor controlled by servo motors(Kawasaki,Japan). The anodizing plant with PLC (SIEMENS) operated Bridge cranes and ELCA rectifiers (3 normal rectfiers and 2 colour rectfiers) was supplied by OTEFAL, with auxiliary equipments like boiler, DM plant etc,. the powder coating plant was from ITW GEMA with automatic robots for spraying the powder. Apart from this my services were used by our other group companies like Holloware and Houseware where Aluminium utensils were being manufactured. Here I was involved in commissioning of multi axis trimming lathe(Ptechnologies , Italy) used for trimming the products and to give Better finished look.

This paper mill has got two numbers of paper machines. Paper m/c1 is OVERMECCANICA and is capable of producing two layer and the No.2 is BELOIT Make capable of producing 4 layer paper(Kraft ).max speed of the M/c 1 is 700 MPM and No. 2 m/c is 650MPM. Both machines are sectional drives consisting of 52 and 54 sections respectively and are driven by SIEMENS MASTER DRIVES (INVERTER) and control by SIEMENS S7 PLC and coordinated HONEYWELL DCS Systems , Touch panel controls as operating stations with PROFIBUS DP.we have soft starters for starting the big low voltage motors and MV soft starter ( Cutler –Hammer make ) for starting LD Pulper of 930 KW ac motor and vacuum starters for starting the MV motors. We have two rewinders one is OVERMECCANICA and the other on JAGENBERG VARIDUR.
Apart from this we are having our own power generation plant consisting of 2 DG sets of 4 MW each and two TGs of 4 and 8 MW each.
Responsible for operation & maintenance of all the above plants and its equipments and load management.
Zuari Cements ,Yerraguntla Joined Zuari Cements, yerraguntla ( ITAL CEMENTI GROUP) as Senior Manager for their New burning line project of 5500TPD cement production. Bonar Emirates Tech Yarns Industries LLC, Abu Dhabi Joined this company as chief Engineer for their new Artificial grass yarns production plant. Carried out the Erection and commissioning of the 4 nos. of Grass line ( Colortronic dozing systems,Barmag Extruder systems, Stretchers, hot air ovens and other auxiliary equipments) along with winders, twisters and Gilbos rewinder. Carried out the erection works of Silos and Polymer transportation lines, Lukerath gas burner oven,lifts, Ingersoll Rand Nirvana compressors, refrigerated dryers,Colortronic Dozing systems for dozing of Polymers, Master batches and additives and McQuay Chillers. Set up the total workshop for carrying out the activities related to erection, commissioning and maintenance. Involved in purchasing of all the materials required for erection of additional equipments. Modifications works carried out on , water removal systems for special yarns,spin finish oil level systems, chilled water circulation systems,doffing in winders.
