Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma from the candidates residing in Delhi and NCR area who are interested in doing the job of Reporter (English), Editorial Assistant (English) on casual assignment basis in News Services Division, All India Radio, New Delhi .

Essential qualification :
1. Graduate from a recognised university
2. Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from a recognised university/institution or 5 year experience in editing work in print/electronic media
3. Proficiency in Language
4. Knowledge of basic computer application..

Desirable Qualification :
1. Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV (for degree/diploma holders in journalism – reference clause (2) above

Age :
The maximum age limit is 21 to 50 years as on 31.12.2011.

Fee :
The bank draft in favour of Director General(News), AIR, New Delhi payable at New Delhi may be sent alongwith the application.
Rs.300/- for General Category
Rs.225/- for SC/ST/OBC Category.

Mode of Selection :
There would be a combined written test for the empanelment of casual Reporter (English), Editorial Assistant (English), to assess their journalistic and professional capability as well as knowledge of English. Candidates securing 50% or above marks will be called for interview. Those securing 50 per cent or more marks in the interview will be placed on the panel. The candidate may apply only for one category for the empanelment.

ii)The date and venue of the written test will also be put on the said website on 1st June 2012.
