Job Description
Lead and direct manufacturing operations with the overall objective of contributing to the business aims and ensuring manufacturing excellence;
Define budgets and cost structure for manufacturing unit, including capex, working capital, cash flows and product mix;
Define and achieve financial metrics of profitability, productivity, cost optimization and capacity utilization;
Approve departmental budgets, plans, resource requirements and broad roles;
Initiate and implement best practices in quality management and plant management e.g. Six Sigma, Value Engineering etc.;
Create, define and oversee various committees and work groups to enhance teamwork and coordination;
Explore strategic opportunities to enhance manufacturing presence and productivity in line with global benchmarks;
Commission surveys and studies to understand customer satisfaction, manufacturing practices and implement findings;
Oversee the operations of the manufacturing unit;

Monthly planning and monitoring of production activities;
Material selection and planning in line with orders received in terms of cost, quality and scheduling;
Coordination with Maintenance for machine upkeep;
Devise optimal flow of material to various machines;

Recruit, manage and motivate all manufacturing staff;
