Applications are invited by Forest Survey of India, Dehradun, for ten (10) positions of Technical Associates (TA/JRF) on contractual basis for Digital Image Processing (DIP)/Geographical Information System (GIS) related work, on a short-term basis initially for a period of six months.

Essential Qualification : M.Sc./B.E/B.Tech/M.A(Geography)/MCA from recognized University/Institute with some experience of remote sensing & GIS applications (Special paper, project, dissertation, work experience etc.).

Desirable Qualification : Diploma/Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS applications. Preference will be given to UGC/CSIR/NET qualified candidates.

Desirable Experience : 6 month’s experience of working in Digital Image Processing (DIP) and GIS software.

Emoluments : Rs.16000/-p.m. (fixed) +HRA as admissible.

Age : shall not be more than 30 years as on date on advertisement. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped categories.

Selection : Candidates have to appear for written test, and if qualified, have to appear for an hand-on-test followed by interview on 21st May, 2012. If the number of candidates is more, the selection process will continue for one more day.

All the aspiring candidates must reach the venue by 9.30 a.m. Candidates who arrive after 9.30 a.m will not be considered.
