Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for:
In order to support the maintenance work at CFL, there is an engineering drafting section. The basic functions are :
-Preparation of statutory drawings which are to be submitted to Directorate of Factories, Pollution Control Board, Boiler Inspectorate, etc. The incumbent is responsible for preparation and submission of drawings to the authorities. The other type of drawings relate to modification carried out in plant and machinery, import substitution, critical spares development, reverse engineering drawings,project drawings, lay outs, etc.
The incumbent designs and develops the necessary drawings through the staff under him and approves the same before release.
He is also accountable for digitization of all drawings. He also assists the superiors in the implementation of Management of Change (MOC) in the PSMS system by issuing the necessary P&I diagram and conforming to Form-A procedures.
The incumbent assists his superiors by carrying out specific assignments from time to time such as conducting periodical internal audits, taking up training classes for maintenance and operation technician trainees etc.
He interacts with all the departments in the Organisation and with outsource agencies with vendors, inspection authorities etc., outside.

Desired Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate should be a Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a large or medium sized organization.
- Ensure that all equipment manuals, drawings provided by OEM, and related documents are maintained as per document control systems.
- Ensure design check, preparation, development and approval of drawings as per requirements.
- Ensure control of out-source drawings through proper inspection system.
- Ensure appropriate builders are developed to take up outsource jobs by visiting their facilities, checking their competency and testing them with sample order.
- Ensure that the target for digitization are met.

Title : EFFECT OF PROCESS PARAMETERS FOR PREDICTION OF WELD BEAD GEOMETRY IN MIG WELDING USING 317L FILLER WIRE.
Discription :
The welding is done by three process parameters namely welding current, welding voltage and welding gun angle with single bead for 9 runs in three trails. The responses like penetration (P), bead width (W), Reinforcement (R) and percentage of dilution (D) are recorded using a three factor, three level factorial design. Using microscope the responses are calculated.
The experiments were conducted in AUTO K 400 Welding machine using direct current electrode positive Base plate of size 200×150×20 mm were cut from structural steel (IS : 2062). It contains zero percent chromium and zero percent nickel. So this metal is selected. For this study austenitic Stainless steel filler wire (317L) of 1.2 mm diameter were used for depositing the weld beads. And the effect of process parameters is studied.

Roles and responsibilities :
- Operates and monitor control system. Monitor flow, pressure, temperature and prepare related data sheets and maintain test records.
- Liaises with various parties to co-ordinate field areas. Directives/participate in simple maintenance and may provide work direction to contractor labors on the clearance.
- Participate in the preparation/updating of operating procedure.
III) Post : Technician
Organization : RAIN CII CARBON (VIZAG) LTD. Visakhapatnam.
Duration : September 2007 to August 2010.
Roles and responsibilities :
Observe parameters for calcinations of coke in kiln, cooler and incinerator, GSA and maintain log book.
- Perform several tasks and activities in a trouble shooting like hot material transfer chute plugging, power failure activities.
- Inform necessary observation to shift engineer and discuss operational programme like operation of pump, control valve, zone temperature, differential pressure, air dryers, air receivers, compressors, monitor high pressure pumps, like centrifugal pumps screw pumps, belt conveyors, silos, ID fan etc.
- Follow start up and shutdown procedure.
IV) Post : Technician
Organization : HIMADRI CHEMICALS AND INDUSTRIES LTD, Visakhapatnam. Manufacturers of coal tar pitch and its derivatives.
Duration : July 2002 to Aug 2007.
Roles and responsibilities :
Carries out daily inspection of plant and equipment in distilleries and flow areas and units to ensure normal operations as applicable. Takes a variety of readings such as rates, levels and pressures, flow, line loads, running, condition of pumps enters in daily log book.
- Check for any malfunctions, such as line ruptures, valve breaks and blown gaskets, estimate degree of seriousness and report to Shift eng. Takes action accordingly. Includes isolating and shutdown individual plant. Carries out minor running repairs where as possible.
