Job Description
Ambuja Cements is looking for individuals that will manage Environmental issues for Cement Plants and Mines at various locations.
Key tasks include:
o Manages environmental issues in the plant, enhancing
environmental management efficiency
o Liaison with State Pollution Control boards/Governmental agencies for all environmental regulatory matters
o Follows environmental legislation requirements in India, supports plant in local follow-up
o Ensure regular monitoring of environmental parameters (air, water, and hazardous waste) as per regulatory requirements.
o Sets up and maintain continual environmental base line data collection, analyses, monitoring, and reporting system
o Manages and participates in environmental audits including EMS
o Develops strategies and guidelines for waste (municipal, bio-medical, and hazardous waste) management solutions and practices.
o Working knowledge of Voluntary initiatives such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Climate Change, Cement Sustainability Initiatives, CSR, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile
Skills and abilities (essential):
oGraduate / Post Graduate (M. Sc â Environmental Science, B.E/M.E â Env. Engg will be preferred.
oExperience of 5-15 years in a similar role preferably in cement or industry
oExp. Regarding handling statutory compliance and liasion with MOEF and other govt. agencies, environmental legislation, policies and practices is desirable.
oUnderstanding of global environmental issues
oStrong verbal and written communication skills
oComputer skills such as MS office knowledge
