NITWET-2012 (National Institute of Technology Warangal Entrance Test) is a National Level Entrance Test being conducted for admission into various M.Sc. Programs offered at NIT Warangal. The details of Programs along with eligibility criteria are given below and admission into these Programs will be based on the Rank obtained in NITWET-2012 only.

I. Department of Physics :
M.Sc. (Tech.) Engineering Physics with streams of study in Photonics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation * (see note 4 below) (Course duration 3 years offered through six semesters of study)
Eligibility :
B.Sc. degree or equivalent program of at least three years duration with first class and having secured at least
(i) 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in all optional subjects (Part-II, non-language ) together and
(ii) must have studied Physics and Mathematics as courses in each year of study at B.Sc.

II. Department of Mathematics :
M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) : (Course duration 2 years offered through four semesters of study)
M.Sc. (Mathematics and Scientific Computing) : (Course duration 2 years offered through four semesters of study) (Self-Financed)
Eligibility :
B.Sc. / BA degree or equivalent program of at least three years duration with first class and having secured at least
(i) 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in all optional subjects (Part-II, non-language) together and
(ii) must have studied Mathematics as a course in each year of study at B.Sc./B.A.

III. Department of Chemistry :
M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Dyes, Drugs, Pharmaceuticals and Pesticides (DDPP) (Course duration 2 years offered through four semesters of study)
M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Modern Methods of Chemical Analysis (MMCA) (Course duration 2 years offered through four semesters of study) (Self-financed)
Eligibility :
B.Sc. degree or equivalent program of at least three years duration with first class and having secured at least
(i) 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in all optional subjects (Part-II, non-language) together and
(ii) must have studied Chemistry as a course in each year of study at B.Sc.

Mode of Entrance Examination and Duration :
There will be 80 multiple choice (4 choices for each question) objective questions in each subject and the duration of the examination is 2 hours. 4 marks will be awarded for the correctly answered question and -1 (minus 1) marks will be awarded for the wrongly answered question.

Application fee :
Application fee is Rs.600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of SC/ST candidates) for each department.
