DEGREE PROGRAMMES :
Ph.D. admission during the academic session 2012-2013 is open in the following disciplines in the Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa.

The Competitive Test :
The Competitive Test for admission to Ph.D. Programmes in the University shall be conducted on 17.06.12 from 10.00a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

NUMBER OF SEATS :
Number of seats for admission to Ph.D. programme for academic session, 2012-13 are as under:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
Candidates possessing the minimum eligibility qualifications i.e. Master Degree in the discipline concerned shall be eligible for admission to the respective Ph.D. programme, provided they fulfill the following conditions and qualify in the written test and secure a place in the merit list.
a) 70% marks in Masters degree programme in the subject concerned (SC & ST candidate should have secured 65% marks in the subject concerned).
b) The cut off marks for admission to Ph.D. programme in the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in entrance examination and academic marks will be 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for others(Unreserved, BC, EBC, and RCG candidates).

Scheme of Examination :
Candidates appearing in Competitive Entrance Examination for admission to Agriculture (Code 1.1 to 1.9) stream will have to appear in Competitive Test Examination of two and half hours duration of subject paper which will carry 150 marks.

Merit List :
The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in Entrance Examination Test-cum Academic Performance and selection will be made as per availability of seats and roster taking into consideration the following criteria:
Entrance Test-cum- Academic Performance Weightage
Entrance Examination Test 70%
Master’s Degree 30%

(a) Sale of application form only through Demand draft of Rs. 700/- for General, EBC, BC & others and Rs. 350/- for SC & ST category from the office of the Registrar, RAU, Pusa - 16.04.2012 to 15.05.2012
(b) By post from the office of the Registrar, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa (Samastipur)-848 125 Bihar, by sending a written request with Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- for General, EBC, BC & others and Rs. 350/- for SC & ST category with a self-addressed 30 cm x 25 cm envelop pasted with postage stamp of Rs. 35/- only. The Demand Draft should be in favour of Comptroller, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa payable at Punjab National Bank, RAU, Pusa Branch - 16.04.2012 to 15.05.2012

The Completed application form on the prescribed proforma along with self-addressed envelope bearing postage stamp worth Rs. 25/- only for sending admit card along with acknowledgement card must reach to the
