The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have graduated from Institutions located in India.

Eligibility Criteria :
i)Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% for MCA and 50% for M.Tech. degree programmes.
ii)Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required.
iii)Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
iv)Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT University.
v)It is compulsory for candidates selected to produce their final year marks’ statement and Provisional degree certificate before August 15th, 2012, failing which, their admission will stand cancelled.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE :
i)Admission to both MCA and M.Tech programmes will be based on the candidates' performance in VITMEE conducted by VIT University.
ii)Candidates short-listed for interview will be informed of the date and time through SMS if mobile number is provided. This information will also be available in the website.
iii)Selected Candidates should pay a deposit of 10,000 as an advance at the time of the interview. This amount will be adjusted against their first year fee.
iv)This should be paid by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore (only computerised DD will be accepted).

VITMEE EXAM DATES :
VITMEE will be conducted on both 9th and 10th June 2012, between 10am to 12 noon and 2.30pm to 4.30 pm on both the days.

Scholarships :
i)Several Scholarships and Assistantships for meritorious students :
ii)Monthly stipend of 4000 for top six GATE scores in each M.Tech Programmes
iii)Top GATE scorers will get a stipend + contingency of 1,70,000 for M.Tech. Nanotechnology under the DST (Govt of India) Nanotechnology initiative.
iv)Top VITMEE / GATE scorers will get a stipend of 3600 Euros (ie. 2.40 lakhs) for a double degree programme in Communication Engineering from UAS, Darmstadt, Germany (Under DADD Fellowship).
