Applications in prescribed form are invited for admission to the following Master Degree and Post Graduate Diploma Programmes in the Tripura University during the academic session-2012-13. Forms can be obtained in person from the respective Departments and during summer vacation from Academic Section in the Administrative Building on payment of Rs.10 only in cash or though University Bank Challan/Bank Draft in favour of “Registrar, Tripura University” payable at State Bank of India, Tripura University Campus Branch, from 10th May, 2012. Application forms may also be downloaded from the University website. Last date of submission of duly filled-in application forms along with self-attested xerox copies of all required documents to the respective Departments and Academic section in the Administrative Building during summer vacation is on 26th June, 2012.Duly filled-in application can also be submitted through speed post.

1. M.A. & M.Com. Programmes : Bengali, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Economics, Education, Fine Arts (Paintings & Sculpture), History, Music (Dance & Classical Music), Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Commerce.

2. M.Sc.Programmes : Botany, Chemistry, Geography & Disaster Management, Human Physiology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistic and Zoology.
Eligibility Criteria :
Bachelor’s degree with Honours/Major subjects of a recognised University under 10+2+3 pattern of education are eligible to apply for admission in their respective subjects/courses of study. Candidates passed without Honours/Major with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate and in the subjects sought for admission are also eligible to apply for admission(40% marks in case of SC/ST/PH).For M.Sc programmes-. Candidates passed without Honours/Major with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate and in the subjects sought for admission are also eligible to apply for admission(45% marks in case of SC/ST/PH).

3. P.G.Diploma Programmes : Bamboo Cultivation & Resource Utilisation, Kok-Borok, Rubber Technology and Tribal and Ethnic Studies.
Eligibility Criteria :
Bachelor’s degree of a recognised University under 10+2+3 pattern of education with minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the respective discipline are eligible to apply for admission(40% marks in case of SC/ST/PH).

Reservation & Selection Procedure :
Reservation in admission of the candidates belonging to the ST/SC/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/physically otherwise abled (PH) shall be made as per the rules & guidelines issued from the UGC and MHRD, Government of India. Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of marks secured in the Bachelors’ degree examination. Candidates having passed the Bachelor’s degree with Honours/Major shall be given first preference for admission in the relevant subjects in order of merit. Candidates without Honours/Major shall be given admission in order of merit of marks secured in the relevant subject where admission is sought subject to availability of seats after the admission of Honours candidates.

List of provisionally selected candidates along with the dates of admission in the above mentioned courses will be displayed on the Notice Board of the respective Departments and on the Notice Board attached to the office of the Dy.Registrar(Academic) in the Administrative Building, Tripura University and also in the University website.
