ICICI Fellows is a pioneering leadership programme that nurtures young talent to create socially responsible leaders for India. This transformative programme focuses on experiential learning. Fellows designate spend 15 months working on grassroots development projects with NGOs, interspersed with modules on management training and leadership development. The entire experience provides Fellows designate with knowledge, insight and commitment to inclusive growth. Upon completion the Fellows are equipped to take leadership positions across all sectors – private, government and civil society – to help India take the bigger step.

Are you eligible? :
If you are a graduate (from any discipline) up to 28 years of age or will graduate on or before 1st July 2012, you are eligible to apply for the ICICI Fellows 2012 programme.

Eligibility :
If you are selected to be an ICICI Fellow designate, you will be given the reins to steer two projects for the duration of 6 months each with reputed organizations working in rural India. You will be a part of a movement that aims to build the nation, step by step. Needless to say, this isn’t a task for the faint-hearted.
In this journey towards a better tomorrow you will encounter diverse and complex challenges.
The progress you make in your projects will be largely dependent on your ability to negotiate and balance the needs of the organization you are assigned to, the community you work with and the government bodies operating in your area of work. You must be willing and equipped to communicate effectively with the community, adapt to the organization’s culture and work environment and navigate government systems in order to achieve your goals during your time with the organization.
Affecting change at the grassroots level demands a high level of inner motivation, patience and perseverance. If you are interested in joining this programme we urge you to assess your readiness to face these challenges.

Process :
ICICI Fellows is an exclusive programme targeted at driven and passionate youth of the country, displaying leadership potential and commitment to India’s social development. All applicants for the programme will undergo a stringent process aimed to select only the best.

To begin your application you must first register on the site and then fill out the online form
Psychometric assessment :
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take a psychometric analysis. Psychometric assessment attempts to objectively measure your personality, attitude, and sensitivity. It gives an insight into how well you work with others, how well you handle stress, and whether you will be able to cope up with the intellectual demands of the programme. This test will be conducted online in select few cities.
Assessment Days :
Once shortlisted, candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day. This will be a day of activities, during which the candidates will be assessed on their commitment to the programme, leadership skills and their ability to work in a team to solve practical problems. During the assessment days we focus closely on each candidate while subjecting them to a mix of individual and group activities under close observation of a group of trained and accomplished assessors.
Commencement of the programme :
Those of you who emerge successful at the end of the selection process will be ready to begin the 15-month journey as an ICICI Fellow designate (IFD).
