Applications are invited for the following posts in the Hqrs. Office upto 15.06.2012 under Health Research Scientist Cadre of ICMR Rules – 2007 and it carries All India transfer liability.

Post No. : 1
Scientist – E (Medical) (One post) in the Pay Band PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000 + Rs.8700 (Grade Pay) + NPA and usual allowances as admissible in the Hqrs. Office.
Essential Qualification :
(i) MBBS Degree recognized by the MCI
(ii) 10 years R & D experience in the relevant area of publication and information in recognized institute(s) after obtaining essential qualification (i) out of which at least 3 years in a managerial position to handle R & D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity
Desirable :
(i) MD or Ph.D From a recognized institute in any relevant branch/discipline.
(ii) Additional post doctoral research/teaching experience.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications
Job Requirement :
(i) To assist the Chief of the Division of Publication & Information in supervising all editing and publication jobs of the ICMR
(ii) To assist the Chief of the Division of Publication & Information for other activities of the Division.
Age limit : for Post No.1 (Scientist-E)- Not exceeding 50 years on 15.06.2012.

Post No. : 2
Scientist – C (one post)in the Pay Band -3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs.6600 (Grade Pay) + NPA and usual allowances as admissible in the Hqrs. Office.
Essential Qualification :
(i) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI.
(ii) Four years R & D experience in the area of chronic diseases after obtaining essential qualification.
Desirable :
(i) MD or Doctorate degree in the fields related to chronic diseases from a recognized university or candidates with relevant degrees.
(ii) Additional postdoctoral research/teaching experience in the area of chronic diseases in recognized institute(s).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications
Job Requirement :
To facilitate Head, Non-communicable Diseases in the planning, monitoring, evaluation & reporting of projects related to chronic diseases, for national & international collaborations. To undertake preparation of Notes & reports for national level research & policy, replies to Parliament questions, critical evaluation of reports etc.

Note : MD/Ph..D degree in subjects relevant to ICMR shall be treated equivalent to three years experience for both the posts.

Age limit : for post No.2 (Scientist-C) -Not exceeding 40 years as on 15.06.2012.
