A walk in interview is scheduled at Veterinary Biotechnology Division of the Institute on 30th April, 2012 at Division of Veterinary Biotechnology, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow in DBT funded time bound project entitled, “Development of prophylactic as well as therapeutic DNA vaccine for canine mammary cancer”. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. There will be no provision of absorption/reemployment in IVRI/DBT on termination of the project. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview and no separate letter will be issued.

Essential Qualifications :
M.V.Sc./Masters degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ life science or relevant basic sciences with NET/GATE or equivalent qualification.
NET/GATE qualification is not essential for master’s degree in professional courses
Desirable Qualifications :
Well versed with the following techniques :
1. Molecular biology techniques such as gene cloning and expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells,
2. Cell culture techniques such as primary culture, maintenance of cell lines,
3. Handling of laboratory animals, collection of blood from laboratory animals.

Emoluments : 12,000-18000 pm as per qualifications and guidelines issued vide DST Office memorandum No.A.20020/11/97-IFD, dated 31st March, 2010

Age limit : 35 years (relaxation for women and SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms).
