Admission to M.Tech / M.Pharm

Applications in prescribed format are invited from eligible Indian citizens FOR ADMISSION TO POST-GRADUATE COURSES IN ENGINEERING AND PHARMACY IN WBUT INHOUSE AND COLLEGES AFFLIATED TO WBUT (PGET-2012). Admission will be done through an entrance test (PGET), however, GATE/GPAT qualified candidates are exempted form appearing for the test. The application for admission is to be submitted online at the University website wbut.ac.in . Seat availability, eligibility, procedure for applying, dates for entrance test, counseling and other details can be found form the above website. All important dates are furnished in the appropriate section of this document. Application Brochure will be available online from 12th April , 2012. A scanned passport size photograph to be uploaded while submitting the application form.

Candidates who are qualified in GATE/GPAT have to fill in the application form and should send the required documents along with the bank draft. Preference will be given to the GATE/GPAT qualified students with valid score and will be listed accordingly for counseling.

Instructions for Online Application to PGET 2012
To register for PGET 2012 online you need to register on website www.wbut.ac.in

Steps for the online application :

At the onset you need to register at website wbut.ac.in . Follow the “Register” link inside the login enclosure on the home page, and enter your name and email address in the space provided. Your password is automatically generated and mailed to your email account.

Please check your mail to find your password. On receiving the password enter your email and the password and login from the homepage.

Keep a Scaned image of your Passport size photograph, make the bank draft of required amount. Also keep all the necessary information handy.

If you are stuck you may logout and post your queries in the forum. Your technical queries will be answered.

Once logged in you will be provided with an application form to fill in all the necessary details. This is the first stage of the registration. Please enter all the details correctly and click on “Save and Next” button to move to the next stage.

Now you will be redirected to Stage 2, where you need to upload a passport size photograph of yourself. Click on the browse button and choose the image file to be uploaded. Click Upload button to upload your image file. You will be able to see it on screen. Finally click next button to move to the next stage.

Once the photo is uploaded you shall be redirected to the 3rd and final stage of the application. Here you are required to review the entire form and check the details you have entered already very carefully. Till this point you can go over to both Stage 1 (Application Form) and Stage 2 (Photo Upload) of the application and edit the details saved, by selecting the required menu from the menu bar above. No details entered can be further modified once the Accept and Final Submit button has been clicked.

Having reviewed all your details, in Stage 3 you will need to accept the declaration first by clicking the checkbox beside it. Once checked you will have to click the Accept and Final Submit button. Please note that once the application has been submitted no more changes can be made to that application there from.

After the final submission print the application by clicking on the Print Application button and sign the hard copy in the place provided.

After the online submission process you are needed to send the hard copy of the signed application form, along with required documents.
