BSNL UTTARAKHAND TELECOM CIRCLE LAUNCHES VOCATIONAL (SUMMER)
TRAINING FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS
BSNL Uttarakhand Telecom Circle launched Summer training program for Engineering students since the year 2010. The salient features of the program are detailed below:

OBJECTIVE :
** To give an overview of a range of Telecom Technologies,
** To give an exposure to working/live Telecom equipments deployed in BSNL,
** To help enhance awareness of the students on various job options in the Telecom Industry.

MODE :
Part time sessions on theory/Installation visits, self-study, Assignment, evaluation and certification.

Durations :
In-plant Training at BSNL Field Units for 04 Weeks.

Eligibility :
Engineering Students of 2’nd & 3’rd Year and diploma holders of the stream of Electronics & Communications, Computer, IT & Electrical.

Period : May – June – July, 2012.

Training Fees : 04 Weeks / 16 Sessions : Rs. 4,000/- ( + ) Service Tax (Requisite fees in the form of DD only in favour of ______________________)

Certificate :
Appropriate certificate will be issued alongwith performance assessment by BSNL for each student.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE :
- Main project : Micro controller based sinusoidal PWM inverter for wind and solar energy plant.
- Description : This project concentrates on micro controller based sinusoidal inverter for wind and solar energy plant. The 3-Phase 24V, 750W, AC power is collected from wind energy and 24V, 80W, 3A, DC power is collected from solar energy. The Transformer is used to step up the voltage from 24V to 230V. Hence the output is given to load.

Extra Curricular activities :
- Organized ITECHNOFEST-2K10,national level technical symposium held on December 2010 in SVCET with a team of three as a coordinator of inviting guests.
- Participated in throw ball team as a player among 11 members conducted at college level.
- Participated in kho kho team as a player among 8 members conducted at college level.
- Participated in NSS Plantation program.

Co-curricular activities :
- Participated in postal presentation on IMAGE PROCESSING WITH DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING on 29/1/2011.

- Participated in seminar on POTATO POWER in college
