Job Description :
The Electronics Engineer will be a part of the core product development team which will work closely with
the component vendors globally, to develop a prototype & subsequently a production level product of the
system which is reliable, cost effective & scalable.
The shortlisted candidate will need to have an in depth knowledge of power electronics specifically, DC-DC
converter, battery charge controller & UPS systems.
The candidate will also have basic knowledge to help develop the required control systems & the software for the
control system & for remote monitoring system. The selected candidate will be working directly with European
experts over the next one year.

Job Responsibilities :
Initiate & co-ordinate design of power electronics & controller required for the application.

Assist in development of power electronics circuits & technology including (specifically) :
Bridging power Circuit : Bridging power device (battery or ultracapacitor) charging & discharging circuit. Power for charging is derived from the fuel cell stack or from the electricity grid
Voltage Regulation Circuit : DC/DC converter to step down or to boost up the voltage level delivered by the fuel cell stack depending on the load requirements.
Protection Circuit : Diode circuit to prevent back flow of current to fuel cell stack.
Auxiliary Power Supply Circuit : Circuit for auxiliary power requirements of the fuel cell systems including fan, blower, pumps, valves, instruments, etc.
Control & Monitoring System : Knowledge of control system design using micro-controller based embedded systems to ensure efficient & reliable working of the system by monitoring various parameters in the system and determining & providing respective control signals. Remote monitoring system development based on wireless control.
Software Design : Software design for operation, control & monitoring purposes.
Tune design of power electronics circuit & controller to suit the application requirements.
Participate in overall decision making on the direction of new projects.
Working with component suppliers for selection of equipment & components that best balances performance & cost.
Prepare design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
Failure analysis down to discrete component level including PCBs and firmware.

Qualifications :
Degree or diploma in electrical / electronics engineering with a strong know how of power electronics.
4-7 years of experience in conceptualizing, designing, documenting, testing & validating electronic circuits. Must have a strong sense of electrical safety procedures.
Command over power electronics (DC-DC converters, inverters, capacitors, battery chargers, etc.)
Strong knowledge of controller logic design, selection & implementation.
Command over software programming used in power electronics
Command over relevant CAD & analytical software (C / Mat lab / Simulink) required to execute the job responsibilities along with command over basic computer tools like word processor, spreadsheet, etc.
Knowledge of safety codes like Low Voltage Directive (LVD) & Electromagentic Compliance (EMC).
Ability in work in international cross-cultural teams
Ability to communicate effectively in English & work in a team.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment : Pilot plant / office work environment
Significant time standing in work area is required& lifting components weighing upto 10 kg is expected

Travel Requirement : Domestic travel maximum upto 10 days a month equivalent
