The Centre invites applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates for taking up R&D activities and also for providing engineering services to solve the problems of the industry and the society besides participating in the development of laboratory facilities.

Name of the Post : Scientist

Total Post : One Post (Reserved for Scheduled Tribe)

Pay : 18750 + Grade Pay of `. 6600 in the Pay Band PB-3 `.15600-39100

Age : Not exceeding 37 years for ST as on the last date for receipt of applications.

Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience :
M.Tech./M.E. or equivalent recognized Post graduate degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in structural engineering

Desirable :
Candidates having knowledge of advanced structural analysis and design; familiarity with computer programming; use of software(s) and experimental techniques for structural engineering applications will be preferred.

Job Requirements :
The candidates selected would be required to work in any of the following R&D areas that would call for any or combination of analytical, computational, field, laboratory investigations;
[a] Structural Concrete Engineering & Technology
[b] Sustainable Materials and Composites
[c] Retrofitting/rehabilitation of Structures
[d] Computational Structural Mechanics for Analysis and Design & Software Development
[e] Transmission Line Towers – Analysis, design, testing & evaluation
[f] Metal Structure Behaviour
[g] Fatigue & Fracture
[h] Structural Health Monitoring, Evaluation & Forensic analysis
[i] Wind Engineering
[j] Earthquake Engineering and
[k] Interaction Problems
