Job Description for General Manager - Facilities :
* Facility manager is involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
* He/ She is responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core work of an organisation.
* To ensure that an organisation has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.
* To use best work practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
* To direct and plan essential central services such as contract management; building and grounds maintenance; house-keeping, cleaning; mail, archiving, catering and vending; health and safety; cafe, maintainence and horticulture, electrical utilities and communications, infrastructure; waste disposal and space management.
* To prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors.
* To supervise and coordinate work of contractors.
* To calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money;
* To plan for future development in line with strategic organizational objectives.
* To ensure that the building meets health and safety requirements.
* To ensure that flammable and hazardous materials are stored in the proper manner in a safe place.
* To plan best allocation and utilisation of space and resources , or re-organising current premises;
* To check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
* To coordinate and lead one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
* To use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement;
* To respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
* He/ She would be trained to organize events. End-end knowledge.
* Basic knowledge of building fire NOC, Elevator's license.
* Maintain the schedule of herbal pest control in the premises.
* Maintain schedule of rain water pumps and server lines.

Job Specification for General Manager - Facilities :
* Minimum Qualifications : Graduate or equivalent Diploma
* Desirable Qualifications : B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech/MS
* Minimum Experience :3- 5 years in facility management
* Proficiency in MS Office (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
* Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the facilities management service. .
* Knowledge of facilities management, custodial and maintenance techniques.
* Knowledge of occupational hazards, and safety rules and regulations.
* Knowledge of acceptable purchasing practices.
* Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, and supervisory techniques.
* Knowledge of equal employment practices.
* Knowledge of the basic practices of accounting and budgeting.
* Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment of the custodial service.
* Ability to plan, develops, and monitors work schedules to ensure efficient use of personnel.
* Ability to solve problems on an immediate basis.
* Ability to identify and solve administrative problems.
* Ability to enforce security regulations.
* Ability to train and supervise lower-level employees.
* Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard.
* Neat and professional appearance.
* Must be capable of working additional hours
* Knowledge of Fire- NOC and other licenses such as to operate elevators etc.
