Selection Procedure for FSO / FBO / ABO / Thanadar / Plantation watcher / Bungalow watcher :
First step : Written test consisting of following three papers.
** Paper-I : Essay writing in English or Telugu or Urdu. One hour duration, maximum marks of 20.
** Paper-II : General knowledge. One and half hour duration and maximum marks of 100.
** Paper-III : General Mathematics. One and half hour duration and maximum marks of 100.

** A minimum of 35% of marks in each paper, with an aggregate of 40% in total is required to qualify for the second step.

** The candidates can write the written examination either in Telugu or in English or in Urdu. However, the question paper shall be in Telugu and English only.

** Candidates who qualify in written examination are selected at 1:2 Ratio for the walking test.

Second step : The candidates selected in the First step shall be subjected to the test of walking. For Male candidates, a 25 km walking and Women candidates, a 16 km is to be completed in 4 hours duration.

** The walking test shall not carry any marks, and is treated as a qualifying test.

** The final selection shall be done from among the persons who have qualified in walking test based on the total marks secured in written examination duly observing roster points and the bonus marks wherever applicable.

** The standards of paper for written examination shall be equivalent to the standards which is shown under minimum qualification at (6) above for all the categories of posts.

The pattern of questions for DM Civil grade, GK and Maths will be of following type.
DM –Civil Grade
i. Part-A : Out of (6) questions given candidates have to answer 4 questions. One of the questions may be a compulsory questions. Each question carry 20 Marks.
ii. Part-B : Consist of 20 fill in the blanks types questions carrying ONE mark each.
General Knowledge in all (50) multiple choice questions are given carry ONE mark each.

Mathematic (DM Grade II) Consists of 30 questions – first (15) questions carry (1) mark, next (10) questions carry (2) marks each. The last (5) questions carry (3) marks each. Total – 50 Marks.

FSO/FBO/ABO/Thanadar/Bungalow watcher & Plantation watcher.
General Knowledge in all (50) multiple choice questions carry in TWO marks each. Total Marks 100.
Mathematics – The Maths paper consisting of 55 questions of multiple choice. The first (20) questions carry ONE mark each. The next (25) questions carry TWO marks each and the last (10) questions carry THREE marks each. Total 100 Marks.

Syllabus :
- For DM Grade II; DM- Civil Trade syllabus for the (3) hours paper and upto 10th Class State Syllabus for Mathematics.

- For Forest Section Officers : Up-to 10th Class State syllabus in Mathematics.

- For Forest Beat Officers : Up-to 9th Class State syllabus in Mathematics - For Assistant Forest Beat Officers/Thanadar/Plantation watcher/Bungalow watcher: Up-to 8th Class syllabus in Mathematics.

Candidates applying for any of the post should apply to concerned officer mentioned at Column No (13) above on or before 23-04-2012 in the prescribed format given in the advertisement. In case of applicant desiring to apply another category or the same Post in another District he/she has to apply separately for the post.

Generally, if you are OC community, you do not have to submit community certificate.

While submitting the application, the applicant should enclose, Community, Nativity, Date of birth certificate, School certificate / Residence certificate, (for the claim of local candidate) and a certificate regarding their exclusion from the creamy layer (for the candidate belonging to the Backward Classes) issued from the competent authority.

From the documentation, I infer this:

You have to submit copies of your certificates now along with application.

Age: The age of the applicant should be between 18 years to 30 years age as on 01.07.2012.
(In case of SC / ST / BC maximum age limit shall be 35 years).

In this, there is no mention of ex-servicemen relaxation in age limit.
