The Theoretical Sciences Unit at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of computational and theoretical
condensed matter and materials science, including chemical biology and biophysics. We are looking for individuals who will develop vigorous interdisciplinary research programs that will integrate with the scientific activities of both theorists and experimentalists at the Institute (http://www.jncasr.ac.in).

The Institute offers state-of-the-art high-performance computing facilities. The candidates are expected to establish a strong and independent research program and share teaching responsibilities.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physical or chemical sciences or engineering, 3-4 years of postdoctoral exposure, and show promise of being a good teacher. We encourage applications from women and minorities.
