Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Ceramic Engineering of the Institute.

1. Name of the Temporary Post : Junior Research Fellow
2. Name of the Research Project : “Development of Low-Carbon Steel Plant Refractories with
Non-oxide Ceramic Additives”

3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : DST, India
4 Tenure of the Project : 03 Years
5 Tenure of the Assignment : 03 Years

6 Job Description : To carry out research work in the area of Mag-Carbon refractories with non-oxide ceramic additives in collaboration with an industry. The selected candidate will be eligible for Ph.D registration following Institute rules & regulations

7. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- P.M. for first 2 years(JRF)
Rs.18,000/- P.M. for last 1 year (SRF)

8. Essential Qualifications and experience : M.Sc in Physics or Chemistry with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in the following engineering disciplines together with GATE qualifications.

9. Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences : B.E or B.Tech degree in Ceramics / Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical Engg. or M.Tech/M.Sc.degree in Material Science. NET/GATE qualification may be exempted only under exceptional circumstances
