    Job Details :
    Opening for positions : 2 JRF (Physics) and 1 JRF (Chemistry)
    Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellows from motivated students with a strong background in Physics or Chemistry. Candidate must have at least an M.Sc./B. E./B. Tech. or an equivalent degree from any recognized University/Institution in India or abroad with an aggregrate of not less than 60% marks for General/OBC/DT/VJ/NT categories, and not less than 55% marks for reserved (SC/ST/PD) categories, or an equivalent grade. Those who expect to complete their degree requirements by July 2012 may also apply.

    Applicants are expected to have a strong academic track record. Qualification in examinations like NET, JEST or GATE will be an additional asset. The selected candidate/s will be expected to work on in-house research and development, and there will be occasions to participate in
    collaborative work with other premier research institutes. In addition, there will also be an opportunity to be involved with teaching in advanced undergraduate/graduate laboratories.

    Selection will be based on academic track record, letters of reference, and an interview conducted by a duly constituted committee at CBS.

    Total emoluments : All students not receiving a scholarship from other sources will be entitled to a fixed monthly scholarship of `16,000 (plus HRA, if suitable accommodation is not available) for the first two years, which may be enhanced at the end of two years. The scholarship may be
    discontinued at any time, for poor academic performance or lack of research progress.
