Job Details :
TEACHING POSTS :
(1) Principal : SNDT College of Education for Women, Pune – (Open- 01) (05 years Tenure Post)

Basic Qualification :
a. Academic and professional qualification will be as prescribed for the post of lecturer, and
b. Ph.D. in Education
c. Ten years teaching experience out of which at least five years teaching experience in a Secondary Teacher Educational Institution.
d. A minimum Score (from Category-III-400 score) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out as per UGC Regulation.

Provided that, in the event of non-availability of eligible and suitable candidate for appointment as Principal/Head as per above eligibility criteria, it would be permissible to appoint retired Professor/Head in Education on contract basis for a period not exceeding one year at a time, till such time the candidates complete sixty five years of age.
Pay Band of Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10000/-

(2) Professor in : (1) Hindi – (Open - 01) PGSR, Mumbai
Basic Qualification :
A. (i) An eminent Scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National level Institutions/Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at Doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum Score (from Category-III-400 score) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out as per UGC Regulation. OR

B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Basic Qualification :
(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses
(iii) Without prejudice to the above, NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
OR

i. A Professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have :
1. First class Diploma in Visual (Fine) arts discipline from the recognized Institution of India/Abroad;
2. Five years of experience of holding regular regional/National exhibitions/Workshops with evidence: and
3. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

(4) Assistant Professor : (14) Pharmaceutics – (ST – 01), C.U. Shah, Juhu (15) Pharmaceutical Chemistry – (ST – 01), C.U. Shah, Juhu
Basic Qualification :
(i) Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Pharmacy with first class OR
(ii) Equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Masters Degree
Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with AGP of Rs. 6000/-

How to Apply :
Prescribed form will be issued at the University Cash Counter on payment of Rs. 200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/NT-DT/OBC/Physically Handicapped candidates of Maharashtra State) for Teaching & other than Teaching posts in cash or by Demand Draft issued in favor of the Registrar, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. The candidate is advised to fill the said form properly and submit 07 copies (One original + six photo copies) to the undersigned along with 3 separate sets of mark list of all examinations, testimonials, No Objection Certificates from present employer, caste certificate if any, experience certificates, appointment letters, verified API Score sheet (only for teaching staff – API proforma is available on University website) membership on various Authorities of the University. One application will be considered for one post only.

The duly filled up applications should reach the Registrar before 05.00 p.m. on or before April 10, 2012. Applications received after the due date for any reason whatsoever/other than prescribed form/incomplete applications shall not be considered/accepted.
