    Age : The relaxation of age limit is extended to all the qualified candidates in addition to the inservice
    candidate for appointment of Assistant Professor in the University service.

    QUALIFICATIONS :
    SOCIAL WORK :
    i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Social Work from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

    ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

    iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree* in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

    iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
    * Ph.D. Degree in Social Work/Sociology/Social Anthropology/
    Demography/Rural Development/Communication & Journalism

    ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE :

    i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Forensic Science from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

    ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

    iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree* in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Biotechnology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

    ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

    iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree* in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

    MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA) :
    BE/B.Tech. and ME/M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech.
    OR
    BE/B.Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in either BE/B.Tech. or MCA
    OR
    MCA with first class or equivalent with two years relevant experience

    NOTE-I : i. A relaxation of 5% may be provided (applicable to Group-I and II posts only) at the graduate and Master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% marks to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the
    qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedures.

    ii. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

    iii. The candidates belonging to BC, SC and ST categories shall apply duly enclosing the Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (MRO/Tahsildar).

    iv. As per G.O.Ms.No.65 Gen. Administration (Ser.D) Department, dated 15.02.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.116 Social Welfare (CV-1) Department, dated 10.12.1999 therecruitment for reserved categories will be made as under :
    “If in any recruitment, qualified candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes (Group-A,B,C and D), as the case may be, and women are not available for appointment to any or all the vacancies reserved for them, a limited recruitment confined to candidates belonging to them shall be made immediately after the general recruitment to select and appoint qualified candidates from among the persons belonging to these communities to fill such reserved vacancies”.

    How to Apply :

    Applications in the prescribed form, together with a Registration Fee of Rs.500/-(Rupees five hundred only) payable through Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Osmania University, Hyderabad-500 007 , payable at Hyderabad, are invited for the post of Assistant Professors in the Pay Scale of Rs.15600-39100+AGP Rs.6000 (UGC RSP 2006) in the
    University Service so as to reach the undersigned in person or by post by 5:00 p.m. on or before 27.04.2012.
