Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow - Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India funded Project (BT/Bio-CARe/08/528/2010-11)

Project Title :: Structure and function of TRIOBP, a novel actin bundling protein involved in hearing
Qualification :: Postgraduate (PG) degree in Basic Sciences & NET qualified (or) Graduate degree in Professional Courses and GATE or equivalent qualification. Applications from Bioinformatics, Material Science and Physics are also encouraged.

Number of Position : One
Duration : 2 Years

Essential : : Detailed knowledge of image analysis software – SPIDER/IMAGIC/EMAN. Candidates with exceptional programming skills using UNIX environment can apply. Experience with C++, Fortran, Perl, Python is relevant. This project requires candidates with strong background in computational image processing and computer algorithm development.

Preferable : Previous experience in handling Transmission electron microscopy and Single particle image processing is desirable along with knowledge of molecular biology.

Fellowship : Rs 16,000 per month + 10% HRA
Duration :2 years
