Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management
The Ph.D programme in the Department of Management studies involves in-depth research works in different functional areas of management. The Department encourages aspiring and meritorious student to pursue research. The course work provides theoretical and empirical exposure pertaining to different aspects of research, which enables the research scholars to take up research in the contemporary areas of management science like Corporate Restructuring, Accounting Systems, Financial Regulations, Business Excellence, Emerging Markets, Financial Derivatives, and Risk Management Portfolio Theory .Thus the Ph.D programme enables the scholars to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to implement in academic and corporate sectors.

Eligibility :
** A pass with 55% marks in post graduation and M.Phil in the relevant subject from any recognized university.
** A research proposal (Maximum 1500 words) has to be submitted along with the application.

Admission Guidelines :
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE DOWNLOADING THE FORM :
1. Take a Demand Draft for 1000 INR for Indian National Student Category and 100 USD or Equivalent to it in INR for NRI/International Student Category for the application fee. Demand Draft should be in favour of "Christ University, Bangalore" payable at "Bangalore".

2. Kindly take a printout of the above application form and Statement of Understanding
3. Fill in the required fields and sign the Statement of understanding if you agree to the same given therein
4. Paste a recent passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph in the space provided for photograph

5. Send the following supporting documents in an A4 size envelope only
i). The Demand Draft for 1000 INR for Indian National Student Category and 100 USD or Equivalent to it in INR for NRI/International Student Category (Application fee)
ii). 2 passport size (3.5 cm width. x 4.5 cm length) and 2 Stamp Size photographs. (Write your name and date of birth behind the photographs)
iii). The filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent/guardian/spouse and the candidate
iv). Copy of statement of marks and certificates of Class 10, Class 12, Under Graduate Degree, Post Graduate Degree and M.Phil (Available)
v). Copy of Transfer Certificates from last qualified Institution, (if available)
vi). Copy of Entrance Test Marks (NET/SLET) Statement if appeared
vii). Copy of Migration Certificates for candidates from outside Karnataka (If available)
viii).Copy Passport and Visa Page (If available) if from Outside India
ix). Research Proposal of a maximum of 1500 words in A4 size sheet with Times New Roman text font and 12 size font.

6. Candidates must mark the application as ‘PhD Admissions 2012 - PDF’ on the top left hand corner of the A4 size envelope to facilitate faster processing.
7. Once we receive all the supporting documents we will Confirm the receipt of the application and intimate regarding your application number and the Selection Process via email to the email ID given in the application form.

10. The date of commencement of classes will be in August 2012.
